Our Commitment to Inclusion
The Cyber Range is committed to providing equal opportunities for participation in our programs, events, and activities regardless of age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability status, socioeconomic background, or any other characteristic protected by law. We recognize that individuals may have diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs. While we do not require anyone to cater specifically to the special needs of an individual, we encourage our community members to be understanding, empathetic, and supportive towards one another. Our organization will strive to provide reasonable accommodations for participants with disabilities or other accessibility requirements, as long as it does not impose undue hardship on our resources or operations.
Expectations of Community Members
All volunteers and visitors are expected to treat each other with respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all times. This includes engaging in open-minded dialogue, actively listening to others, and refraining from any form of harassment, discrimination, or exclusion based on the protected characteristics mentioned above. Community members should be mindful of their language and communication styles, ensuring that they are inclusive and accessible for a diverse range of participants. This may include using clear and simple terminology, avoiding jargon or technical terms when possible, and providing visual aids or alternative formats as needed. Everyone is encouraged to share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas with the community, contributing to an environment where all voices are heard and valued. At the same time, we recognize that not everyone may feel comfortable sharing personal information or opinions; in such cases, respect for individual boundaries is crucial.
Reporting Incidents of Exclusion or Discrimination
If a volunteer or visitor experiences or witnesses an incident of exclusion, harassment, or discrimination based on the protected characteristics mentioned above, they should report it to the Cyber Range leadership immediately. This can be done through email, feedback forms, or in-person conversations with relevant staff members. The Cyber Range will investigate all reported incidents promptly and impartially, taking appropriate corrective actions as necessary. Confidentiality will be maintained throughout the process unless disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the interests of our organization.
Ongoing Evaluation and Improvement
The Cyber Range leadership will regularly review this Inclusion Policy to ensure its effectiveness in promoting a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants. b) Feedback from volunteers, visitors, and staff members will be solicited periodically through surveys, focus groups, or other evaluation methods to identify areas of improvement and inform policy updates as needed. c) Any significant changes to this policy will be communicated to all affected parties promptly, with their consent sought where required by law.
